The Collegiate Finals will be held in a public concert that evening at the Van Trease Performing Arts Center for Education on the campus of Tulsa Community College – Southeast Campus.
The 2010 High School Competition will take place on Thursday or Friday, March 11 or 12, 2010. The First, Second and Third Place winners will be recognized at the Finals Concert on Saturday evening and First Place winners will have the opportunity to perform on stage at the Finals Concert.

In the spring of 1999, with a budget of $1,500, six members of the Rotary Club of Tulsa met in the choir room of First United Methodist Church and auditioned 11 student musicians. The Rotarians were so impressed with the talent that they personally added another $600 and awarded the total amount to four students.
And that event fired the dream of Rotarian and musician, Joseph A. Bias, off the launch pad. Growth is inevitable and the reality and the dream have both expanded over the course of time. During its 11 year history, the Crescendo Music Awards program has auditioned almost 700 student musicians and has presented more than $265,000 in cash awards to the winners.
Currently, the program offers an annual purse of $34,000 to $40,000 awarded in three disciplines: Piano, Strings and Voice. Applications for the 2010 competition will be accepted from October 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010.
